Wayzata Brands is focused exclusively on creating and growing interesting and disruptive brands in the household cleaning and personal care consumer goods spaces.  We have a highly dynamic, fast growing, and entrepreneurial environment and we are launching our first two brands in 2019.  Our office is casual and high energy and is located near downtown Wayzata west of Minneapolis. Our team includes former leaders from Target, General Mills and the Boston Consulting Group.

The portfolio designer position is a newly created position within the Wayzata Brands group to bring to life our new portfolio brand(s) tone, look and feel across all channels (on-line, on-social, and in-store).  This person will be responsible for developing and delivering compelling creative, translating marketing objectives into high-quality stories and effective campaigns that align with brand standards.  This will involve participation in or ownership of the continued content design and content creation of the brand(s) and bringing the vision to life.  The role will center on the following responsibilities:

 Design Strategy Development

  • Partner with the respective business lead to develop strategic creative direction, content, design and brand vision, delivered in a consistent brand voice.
  • Add operational efficiency to the creative workflow process by using tools, measurement, and best practices to streamline and structure the way creative work is produced.

 Content Creation for Brand Launch

  • In partnership with brand/social owners, design and create the start-up creative/copy for the identified consumer and social channels.  This will include graphic/logo design, video, photography, and typography. 
  • Develop and execute plans to effectively and efficiently build all channels, inclusive of DTC, social communities within the identified platforms.

 Ongoing Creative Development and Content Creation

  • Responsible for the development and continuously evolving brand architecture/guidelines to drive growth in alignment with the brand's business objectives.
  • Lead and implement creative concepts, materials and other deliverables across all channels- traditional and digital.
  • Develop, execute and manage campaign creative assets across mediums including graphic/logo design, video, photography, print, and digital formats.
  • Own the development and interpretation of marketing/creative briefs and continue to further design and evolve the brand.
  • Regularly audit key competition and other brands of inspiration and interest to help drive best practices and new thinking as needed.
  • Build a creative asset library that can be leveraged for future content creation including digital advertising beyond social (e.g. customer-specific or via other media).
  • Solid use of MAC computer programs (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and/or Adobe Creative Suite.

  Budget & Process

  • Partner to establish budgets for content creation. Manage within these budgets once established.
  • Develop standard processes that can guide efficient and effective work content management.
